Book Reviews

A book review is a subjective thing; nothing more than an opinion. Sometimes that opinion comes from education, experience or just plain instinct, but regardless of its origin, it’s still very personal. Professional reviewers, book clubs and the like all have their place, but nothing anyone in the book business says (certainly not I) should be taken as gospel. As with most things, when it comes to making a judgment, the only opinion that matters is your own. I have no need to force my views upon others, nor am I in love with the sound of my own voice. Hurting people’s feelings doesn’t make me giddy with excitement either. The point of these reviews is to give readers some insight into what I do and don’t appreciate in a story so that you can judge how good of a match I am, as an author, to your taste. I want to encourage everyone to please read, read and read some more, even if it’s not my work. I can live with that. Maybe someday I’ll write something you do like and we can all be happy. Until then, allow me to aid you in your search for a good book.
